Dipping amount
The content of solid resin in the decorative film paper, expressed as a percentage (%). Manufacturing Process

 

 

Preparation of paper
The decorative or kraft paper is selected and prepared. If using decorative paper, it is printed with the desired design.

 

Impregnation
The paper is impregnated with melamine formaldehyde resin. This is typically done by passing the paper through a bath containing the resin.

The resin is diluted with water and possibly other solvents to achieve the desired viscosity and ensure uniform impregnation.
The paper absorbs the resin solution, which saturates the fibers.

 

Drying
After impregnation, the paper is passed through drying ovens. The drying process removes the excess water and partially cures the resin.
This step ensures that the paper is tack-free and ready for the next stage of processing.

 

Cutting and stacking
Once dried, the impregnated paper is cut into sheets of the required dimensions.
The sheets are then stacked and stored under controlled conditions to maintain their quality.

 

Pressing (laminate formation)
In the final application, the impregnated paper is placed over a substrate material (such as particleboard or mdf).

 

The stack is subjected to high pressure and temperature in a laminating press.
The heat and pressure fully cure the melamine resin, bonding the paper to the substrate and forming a hard, durable surface.
