Problems faced by melamine impregnated paper

The melamine impregnated paper we use is a very useful building decoration material, but no matter how good something is, there are always imperfect areas, so the editor summarizes the common faults of melamine impregnated paper and some simple solutions.

1. The sticky pad condition The sticky pad refers to the fact that the plate is partially or completely stuck to the pad during the pressing process. The reasons are as follows:

1. The pressing time is short, or the temperature of the hot pressing plate is low or slightly low, so that the resin is not completely cured;

2. The moisture content of the plate is too high;

3. The impregnated paper is too much glue, and the volatile component is too high;

4. The surface of the thick steel plate is not cleaned, the type of demolding agent is not suitable or the glue is unevenly applied;

5. The billet is not accurately positioned during pressing. The sticky plate condition often occurs around the plate. This is due to the low temperature at the edge, or it may be caused by the outstanding displacement of the billet inside the press. The real cause of the sticky plate should be checked one by one, and it should be dealt with in time to reduce losses. The main reason for the sticky board is that the adhesive is not completely dried. Therefore, it is an effective way to deal with such problems by appropriately increasing the ambient temperature or increasing the pressing time.

2. Board warping

1. From the perspective of pressing, the board warping is mainly due to the large temperature difference between the upper and lower pressing plates, which leads to the asynchronous curing speed of the adhesive paper on both sides of the board during the pressing process, and the board bends to the solid side. The editor believes that the appropriate temperature difference between the upper and lower pressing plates should be that the ambient temperature of the upper pressing plate is 3 to 5 higher than that of the lower pressing plate.

2. From the perspective of the raw materials themselves, the characteristics of the double-layer impregnated paper commonly used in village materials are different, which will also cause the board to warp. If a single-layer paper is used for the board, warping is an inevitable conclusion. From the production perspective, the same impregnated paper can be used or the appropriate temperature difference between the upper and lower pressing plates can be adjusted to ensure that the board does not warp.

3. Wrong stacking method of finished products after lamination is another major factor causing warping of the board. The solution is to use symmetrical and vertical pads or trays to store the melamine impregnated paper veneer boards with better lamination. Through my above summary, I believe everyone has already understood that we still say: "If we really want to produce high-quality products, we must use good impregnated paper and boards, and scientific and reasonable production processes." In addition, the actual operation and inspection personnel must work together, and problems should be reported in time. Only in this way can we ensure stable product quality and occupy a larger sales market.
